The Birch Tree Family is an evolving project combining site-specific installation, live performance, film, and photography—originally developed through the CAS Emerging Sculptors Development Award. Inspired by the symbolism of the birch tree, it explores transformation and the deep connection between women, nature, and the environment.
Crafted for the landscape of Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, this work reflects on renewal, caregiving, and ecological interdependence. Through wearable sculptures and live performances as “living birch trees,” I embody a return to nature—blending joy, vulnerability, and a call for sustainable change.
The project continues to grow with plans for future public performances and new sculptural works in 2025–26.
